Alison was at the forefront of developing Newtownabbey Leisure Services Strategy. It is also designed to fit with “Investing for Health” initiative sponsored by the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety. The Leisure Services Department at Newtownabbey Borough Council brought together all the leisure related services provided by the Council into one department. This presented opportunities for close co-operation between sections and a joined up approach to service delivery in regard to health initiatives
